Vegetarian Vietnam Demo/Lunch/Book Signing
MENU: Green mango rice paper ribbons, fresh leaf rolls with nutty fermented soybean dipping sauce, young jackfruit salad with rice crackers, crispy rice and mung bean crepes, and warm banana coconut tapioca pudding.
Join Chef Cameron, who’ll be flying in from Bangkok, Thailand, for a demonstration and lunch on Monday, March 19 from 10:30am-1:30pm. Chef Cameron will share with you some of his favorite Vietnamese vegetarian dishes from his newly launched cook book "Vegetarian Vietnam". You'll learn about the transformative vegetarian staple ingredients (what to look for, how to use and store them) that produce dishes that are light yet bursting with flavor. These recipes were devised over centuries by Buddhist Mahayana monks and home cooks. Cameron will introduce to you to the basics of the Vietnamese pantry and share with you his easy tips and techniques to produce fresh, flavourful and vibrant Vietnamese vegetarian dishes. Your ticket price will include a signed copy of his cookbook, demonstration and a delightful lunch.
